Au·then·tic·i·ty (n.) – Genuineness; the quality of being genuine or not corrupted from
the original. Undisputed credibility.
Authenticity is one of those rare qualities that everyone respects – especially in the music
industry. While R&B/Pop hopefuls often conform to current trends to grasp the slightest
piece of relevancy, veteran and R&B sensation SAMMIE BUSH, continues to display
the winning formula for longevity. With three (3) top-selling singles – “I Like It”,
“Crazy Things I Do” and Soulja Boy’s “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” – Sammie has
solidified himself as R&B royalty without sacrificing his musical and moral integrity.
In 2006, Sammie made that come back. Re-teaming with mentor and mega-producer
Dallas Austin, Sammie signed with Austin’s reactivated label, Rowdy Records. The new
deal birthed Sammie’s successful self-titled sophomore album, Sammie which featured
the Top 30 R&B single, “You Should Be My Girl” produced by Jazze Pha featuring Sean
P of Youngbloodz. The song peaked at the number two spot on BET’s 106 & Park and
the album debuted in the Top 10 spot the week of its release solidifying Sammie as a
staple teen heartthrob.
In 2008, Sammie decided to part ways with Rowdy Records, on good terms, to pursue his
latest business venture, Star Camp Music. Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, Star Camp
Music is a full service management and entertainment firm specializing in all areas of
music, production and artist development. Founded by the Platinum-selling R&B singer
and assisted by VP; Ryan “Boogie” Marsh, Star Camp Music would allow Sammie’s
newfound business acumen to guide not only his career but the career of aspiring artists
and producers.
“The material on this EP shows growth lyrically and vocally,” states Sammie. “I feel
with this EP that I am coming into my own for the first time. This EP showcases the
most intimate and authentic Sammie my fans have yet to see.”
The “It’s Time” tour is a chance for Sammie to reconnect with his fans and to showcase
his growth and talent in a new light.
Star Camp Music is hitting the road to promote R&B crooner Sammie’s “It’s Time” EP for a 20 city tour. To show his appreciation for his fans, we are conducting a national small venue and college tour to launch January 15, 2010 in Atlanta. In addition to your promotional efforts, the tour will be filmed and developed into a DVD promoting Sammie’s junior studio album. Footage will also be pitched to BET, Centric and tvOne producers for a reality show pilot and documentary.
